PCOS and Mindfulness: What You Need to Know

Stress is all around us these days. Especially now! In a pandemic that seems like it will never end. But stress is one of the biggest factors that aggravate PCOS symptoms. It contributes to higher cortisol and therefore higher insulin resistance and androgens which are the key hormones that worsen PCOS. But mindfulness has been shown in many studies to reduce stress and even lower blood levels of these toxic hormones. 

But what is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is about being present in the moment without judgment. It is about feeling and sensing your body and being aware of your body at that moment.
